WARDOGS has opened its beta to everyone, giving players a final chance to join the tactical shooter before the test ends at 08:00 UTC on Sunday, September 6. The change removes the closed-beta restrictions that previously limited access to invited players and pre-order customers. WARDOGS’ final test began on September 3 as a closed beta, with pre-order customers guaranteed entry and other Steam Playtest applicants admitted only by invitation before the scheduled September 6 close; the original closed-beta access plan outlines the original closed-beta access plan.
BULKHEAD confirmed the switch in a Steam announcement with a simple invitation to put its servers under pressure. Anyone who joins now has only a short window to try the beta before access closes.
The timing follows the earlier closed-beta schedule, which ran from 18:00 UTC on September 3 and was originally due to finish at 08:00 UTC on September 6. Pre-order customers had guaranteed entry, while other players could request access through Steam Playtest without a guarantee, as detailed in earlier coverage of the test.
WARDOGS is scheduled to enter Steam Early Access on September 10, making this open beta the game’s last major hands-on window before that release. The beta’s wider access should also give BULKHEAD more players to test its servers during the final days before launch.
