Who We Are

ConsolePCGaming.com (“CPG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent gaming news website operated by Angel Kicevski. Our website address is https://consolepcgaming.com.

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].

Scope of This Policy

This policy explains how information is collected and used when you read articles, leave comments, interact with advertisements or embedded content, or otherwise use CPG. We do not offer public reader account registration. Administrative and author accounts are not available to the general public.

Information We Collect

Information Collected Automatically

When you access the site, our hosting, content delivery, analytics, advertising, and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, request headers, cookie or device identifiers, and information about errors or suspected malicious activity.

We use this information to deliver the site, keep it secure, diagnose technical problems, understand readership, prevent spam and abuse, and measure site and advertising performance.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the information entered in the comment form, together with your IP address and browser user-agent string for moderation, security, and spam detection. Your approved comment and chosen display name are public.

A hash derived from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to determine whether you use that service. If a Gravatar is associated with your email address, the profile image may appear publicly beside your approved comment. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

Messages You Send Us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any information you choose to provide. We use it to respond to you and maintain appropriate business or support records.

Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

CPG and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies. These technologies may be used to operate the site, remember comment details or privacy choices, measure traffic and performance, prevent fraud, and deliver or measure advertising.

If you choose to save your comment details, WordPress may store your name, email address, and website in convenience cookies for up to one year.

Where required, non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are controlled through the consent or privacy choices presented on the site. You may change available choices through those controls and may also manage cookies in your browser. Blocking some technologies can affect site features or advertising behavior.

Analytics and Advertising

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand how visitors find and use CPG. Google may process page URLs, interaction and device information, approximate location, cookie or device identifiers, and IP-address information. Analytics information is used in aggregated reports to improve the site and understand readership.

Google AdSense and Advertising Partners

We use Google AdSense to fund the site. Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses or other identifiers, measure ad impressions and interactions, prevent fraud, and provide personalized or non-personalized advertising depending on your location, settings, and consent choices.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Google’s Privacy Policy, and Google Ads Settings.

Google Funding Choices may display consent and privacy messages and store your selections where applicable.

Security, Hosting, and Content Delivery

Our hosting provider and Cloudflare process network and request information to deliver content, improve reliability, mitigate attacks, and operate caching, firewall, and other security services. Wordfence may process IP addresses, request details, login or security events, and related technical information to identify and block malicious activity. Akismet may inspect submitted comments for spam.

These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms and privacy policies. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Wordfence’s Privacy Policy.

Embedded Content and External Services

Articles may include videos, social posts, images, game information, or other content supplied by third parties such as YouTube, gaming platforms, publishers, developers, social networks, Discord, or IGDB. Embedded content can behave as though you visited the provider directly. The provider may receive your IP address and page information, use cookies or tracking technologies, and record your interaction, particularly if you are logged in to that service.

Links to external websites are governed by the privacy policies of those websites after you leave CPG.

Why We Process Information

Depending on the information and your location, we rely on one or more of the following grounds:

  • Your consent, including where consent is required for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, or analytics.
  • Our legitimate interests in publishing and improving CPG, understanding readership, communicating with readers, preventing fraud and spam, and protecting the site.
  • Performance of a service you request, such as submitting a comment or asking us to respond to an email.
  • Compliance with legal obligations and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Who Receives Information

Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, content delivery, security, spam prevention, analytics, advertising, embedded content, and site administration. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a legitimate transfer of the website or its operations.

Some providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, those transfers are handled under the safeguards offered by the relevant provider and required by applicable law.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Approved comments and associated metadata may be retained indefinitely so discussions remain understandable and follow-up comments can be recognized.
  • Emails are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
  • Server, security, and diagnostic records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, backups, and legal requirements.
  • Analytics, advertising, and third-party service data are retained according to our configured settings and the applicable provider’s retention practices.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of personal information associated with you. You may also have the right to object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain advertising uses, or complain to your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required for security, legal, or administrative purposes. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Children’s Privacy

CPG is a general-audience gaming news site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
