WARDOGS Season 2 Is Live With Combat and Server Changes
Update 0.2.0 is live and servers are back online, with four new weapons, four vehicles, rain effects, team-kill votes, and faster role progression.

WARDOGS Season 2 is live. BULKHEAD released Update 0.2.0 on October 15, 2026, and confirmed that the servers are back online in its Steam launch announcement. The patch notes detail changes to combat, progression, vehicles, construction, and server rules, alongside new weapons and battlefield features.
The update adds four weapons, four vehicles, three buildable structures, and a Molotov. It also brings a rain weather preset that affects spotting and fire, while thunder can mask footsteps during heavier storms. The October 9 Season 2 preview outlined the vehicles and the Wager Vendor, which is due later in the season. The patch notes add detail on the changes arriving with the update.
Combat changes affect damage, armor, and suppression
Several high-caliber rounds will deal less base damage. The reductions are 25% for .308 Winchester, 20% for 7.62x54mmR, 19% for 7.62x39mm, and 16% for .50 Cal. DMR hit-location damage will be adjusted around those values, while assault rifle body shots will do slightly less damage and LMG body damage will match assault rifles. Sniper rifles will receive increased hit-location damage to offset the base reductions.
Level 3 armor and helmets will reduce damage by 50%, down from 55%. Level 4 gear will reduce it by 60%, down from 65%. The update also rebuilds suppression around shared falloff curves. Level 3 helmets will reduce suppression by 68%, and Level 4 helmets by 80%.
Level 4 helmets will muffle audio and proximity chat, restrict the wearer’s field of view, and fog during sprints. The infrared range finder will use batteries, with each battery lasting around 80 seconds of active use and draining faster when the device is repeatedly toggled. Rain will reduce spotting range and weaken Molotov fire.
New rules for teams and servers
When a team leads by more than 10 points, players who switch teams will be unable to switch again for 15 minutes after joining. Players who switch teams or enter a match already in progress will have their map obscured and cannot use a spawn vehicle until they first reach the control zone.
Team kills will use a victim-driven Forgive or Punish vote. Punishes accumulate and can lead to kicks and escalating bans for repeat offenders, while a forgive removes a potential mark. If a player respawns and leaves the safe zone without voting, the team kill is forgiven automatically.
Official servers will enforce region-based ping limits. Players who remain over a server’s limit can be kicked, but server-side lag spikes will not count toward the measurement. A player kicked for high ping cannot rejoin that server until its next map transition. Community hosts can set their own limits, and the browser will gain ping tags and filters.
Players who populate empty servers will earn rewards and a vendor discount when the match begins. Pre-match areas will also have guns, targets, a football, and a hidden radio. On Bakurani, all three team spawns will move to new positions with rebuilt routes.
Progression, faction bonuses, and construction
Role progression through level 20 will take less than half the playtime it did in Season 1. Reaching level 20 will require 111,500 XP instead of 250,000, a 55% reduction in the stated time to level. Season 2 also resets progression to level 1 and player cash to $0.
Lonestar will receive cash and XP bonuses for wins and teamplay actions during the season. Any team at least 40 points behind second place will also get 20% off at the vendor. The Wager Vendor will arrive later in Season 2, not at launch, and will let players stake their own cash on their performance with a live tracker above the minimap.
Construction changes raise the supply costs of several structures and make drill rigs harder to keep running. A rig’s maximum uptime will fall from 375 seconds to 300, while its minimum activation fuel rises from 1,500 to 2,000. Vehicle inventories for purchased vehicles will be private to the driver and squad by default, and controller players will get an aim-assist strength slider that can turn aim assist off.
