Escape The Backrooms Hotfix Fixes Level Fun+ Crashes and Lobby Kicks

The same announcement confirms that Level 421 is now available across all platforms.

Escape The Backrooms has received its 1.4.1 hotfix, removing a bug that prevented players from entering Level Fun+ properly. Affected players could crash during entry or get sent back to the lobby instead.

The fix is now live, and the official Steam announcement confirms that Level Fun+ should now load as expected. The problem was limited to access behavior, but being bounced out of a level before the fun starts is still a remarkably effective way to ruin a party.

Level 421 is also now available across all platforms. Players who want more context on the new area can revisit the Level 421 launch, which introduced the Plastic Mariana area and its unsettling route through an abandoned MEG base, a hospital, and a ball pit.

  • Now you can enter Level Fun+ as expected, without any crashes or being kicked back to the lobby.
