Fancy’s Escape the Backrooms has been selected for the Tiny Teams Festival and named a “Tiny Champion.” The week-long Steam event runs from August 6 through August 13, and the game is 20% off during the festival. Fancy shared the news in an August 6 Steam announcement.
Tiny Teams is built around games from small studios and solo developers. Escape the Backrooms is being featured alongside other projects from independent creators, giving the horror game a place in an event focused on smaller teams and their ideas.
Escape the Backrooms Has More Than 30 Levels
Fancy began work on Escape the Backrooms nearly four years ago after picking up Unreal Engine and experimenting with a collection of assets. The first version launched in early access, and the game has since grown to more than 30 levels across several platforms.
The developer also credited the player community for helping the project reach this point. That support has followed Escape the Backrooms from its early-access beginnings to its current multi-platform release.
Where to Play Escape the Backrooms
Escape the Backrooms is available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The 20% festival discount applies through the Steam event, which gives PC players a lower-cost way to enter the Backrooms while Tiny Teams is running.
