A Steam mistake put Forza Horizon 6 and Directive 8020 online early
The leaked builds reportedly used Steam DRM only, with Forza Horizon 6 still due on May 19 and Directive 8020 due on May 12.

Forza Horizon 6 and Directive 8020 have surfaced online before launch, and both builds have already been cracked.
The builds appear to have slipped out through Steam by mistake. That left two unreleased games available at the same time, which is exactly the kind of launch mess publishers try to avoid.
Both games reportedly shipped with Steam DRM only, and that made them much easier to crack. Forza Horizon 6 can be played in Offline Mode, while Directive 8020 does not have an online mode because it is a single-player game.
The timing is awkward for both releases. Forza Horizon 6 had already been dated for the first gameplay reveal on May 19, and Directive 8020 will arrive on May 12. The Forza game will support RTGI and ray-traced reflections on PC, while the Supermassive release will support DLSS 4 and path tracing on PC.
The situation also shows why some publishers still lean on heavier launch protection. Steam DRM can be broken quickly, while systems like Denuvo usually buy more time before a game starts spreading in the wild.
