WARDOGS Season 2 Will Add 4 Vehicles and a Wager Vendor

The October 15 season also brings new weapons, weather effects, buildables, and temporary bonuses for Lonestar.

WARDOGS Season 2 will add four vehicles, four weapons, new buildables, and a rain weather preset when it begins October 15. Bulkhead also detailed an experimental Wager Vendor planned for sometime during the season in its Season 2 preview on Steam. Full patch notes, including balance changes, are due early next week.

The October 15 date was already announced alongside concerns about vehicles and uneven team results. Bulkhead’s earlier Season 2 update outlined those issues, while this preview describes specific changes planned for the season.

Bulkhead also says WARDOGS has passed 3 million sales. That is up from 2 million copies within five days of launch.

Weapons, vehicles, and weather

The new weapons cover several roles: the TCX Spear is an assault rifle, the M14 is a DMR, the PP-19 Bizon is an SMG, and the Evo-3 Ultra is an LMG. They will arrive with new attachments, while a Molotov adds an incendiary option that can be thrown overhand or underhand to damage players in its impact area and deny space.

Two versions of the Wolf-110 bring light wheeled transport, with the Assault variant adding a ring-mounted M2 Browning. The T-72 is slower than the Leopard but costs less and uses fuel more efficiently. The Flakpanzer Gepard adds an anti-air vehicle to the roster.

Two military transport vehicles sit in a flooded compound during heavy rain.

Three buildables round out the construction additions: a manned M2 Browning MG Nest, a large metal shelter for protecting assets or getting out of the rain, and a wooden step. The new rain preset will also affect visibility, engagement distances, and sound. It interacts with damaged and destroyed structures, and server-synchronized thunder can briefly cover the sound of footsteps.

The Wager Vendor and faction changes

The optional Wager Vendor will let players choose objectives, set how many deaths they are willing to spend on them, and risk cash for a payout. Stacking more objectives increases the odds and potential reward, while a tracker above the minimap follows progress. Bulkhead calls the system experimental and says it may remove the feature during Season 2 if players can exploit it.

Combat adjustments will touch weapon damage, recoil, and suppression, with the stated goal of giving weapon classes clearer roles. The infrared rangefinder will run on batteries. Heavy and Super Heavy helmets gain more resistance to suppression, while the Super Heavy helmet also muffles audio, restricts field of view, and fogs during sprints.

Lonestar is the focus of a separate balance experiment after Bulkhead identified its low win rate and player sentiment as issues. All faction spawns will move on Bakurani, and Lonestar uniforms will be less conspicuous against the other factions. Lonestar will also receive Season 2-only cash and XP bonuses and multipliers. Any team trailing the second-place team by at least 40 points will get a 20% vendor discount, and the discount applies across factions. Community server hosts who exploit Lonestar’s bonus face punishment.

Squad coordination, vehicle handling, controller responsiveness, and progression are also due for attention, along with teamplay and logistics rewards, performance work, bug fixes, and server stability improvements.
