War Thunder Update 2.57.1.52 Fixes Radar Presets, Aiming Points, and Vehicle Bugs
The latest War Thunder cleanup update also corrects aircraft weapon behavior, naval turret angles, interface problems, and several visual glitches.

Gaijin Entertainment published War Thunder Update 2.57.1.52 on July 29, 2026. The patch fixes problems across aircraft, ground vehicles, naval vessels, and the interface, while also cleaning up aiming-point controls and radar presets. The full announcement is available through the official Steam announcement.
Several of the most visible changes affect aircraft systems. Aiming points can now be used regardless of the current weapon loadout, radar displays have gained extra controls in their minimal layout, and missing radar modes are back in the preset menus. The patch also fixes warped vehicle decorators and the unusually high reverse speeds introduced by an earlier update.

Other Fixes and Improvements
Update 2.57.1.52 also addresses several systems discussed in the announcement. Tactical-map hints now show the key combinations for setting aiming points when an aircraft supports the feature through GNSS-guided weapons or an advanced navigation system. Aiming points can be assigned to suitable munitions directly from the tactical map, without requiring separate key bindings.
The minimal radar display now has buttons for toggling the ESM screen and switching between radar and IRST modes. Aircraft that use their weapons as ESM sensors will also leave ESM mode automatically after all missiles are gone. Radar presets on the respawn and test flight screens once again include the correct modes and ranges.
Vehicle decorators should no longer warp when attached to heavily curved armor. A reverse-movement physics error that added friction instead of subtracting it has also been corrected, preventing vehicles from reaching excessive speeds while backing up.
Other fixes restore keyboard arrow-key assignments, repair the “Attention to the Map” command when using the minimap, return fuel jettison after rocket-booster use, keep trees visible in optics while zooming, and restore the earlier width for the in-battle chat window.
