Shadowfang Keep overlooks Pyrewood Village in southern Silverpine Forest. The dungeon is reached by the uphill approach to the keep, not by searching the village below for a hidden cellar.
Location at a Glance
- Zone: Silverpine Forest
- Level guidance: 20-30
- Version: World of Warcraft: Forever
How to Reach the Entrance
- Travel south through Silverpine Forest towards Pyrewood Village.
- Take the rising path to Shadowfang Keep, around 44.5, 68.0 on the Silverpine Forest map.
- Follow the approach to the keep's entrance and enter the instance with your party.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Horde players can come south from the Sepulcher or the Undercity. Alliance players approaching from Southshore need to travel west through Hillsbrad into Silverpine, then head towards the keep. Allow time for that journey before arranging the first pull.
Before You Go
Pyrewood and the keep occupy different heights. If you have reached the village but cannot see the portal, look for the uphill route rather than trying to climb directly up the cliff. On a PvP realm, the Silverpine approach also deserves more care than a friendly-zone dungeon trip.
Compare any dungeon and class quests before entering. If someone dies on the approach, tell them whether the group is waiting at the village, on the ramp or inside the portal, since all three can sound like the same location in party chat.
