The Deadmines is hidden beneath Moonbrook in southern Westfall. Start with the house leading into the mine, then follow the tunnels to the instance portal. The entrance is not out on the coast, even though the dungeon eventually opens onto a ship.

How to Reach the Entrance
- From Sentinel Hill, follow the road south towards Moonbrook.
- Look for the mine entrance inside the house around 42.6, 71.6 on the Westfall map. This marker identifies the above-ground approach.
- Head downstairs and stay with your group through the Defias Hideout tunnels until you reach the dungeon portal.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Alliance players can travel west from Elwynn Forest into Westfall and use Sentinel Hill as their staging point. Horde players have a much longer trip, commonly arriving in Booty Bay on the boat from Ratchet before travelling north through Stranglethorn and onwards towards Westfall.
Before You Go
Several objectives and enemies are outside the instance. Finding a quest target in the mine does not mean you have already zoned into the Deadmines. Check that every party member has reached the portal before beginning the dungeon run.
Alliance dungeon quests include errands from Stormwind as well as the Westfall Defias chain. Pick them up before leaving town, particularly if you are planning one full clear rather than several visits. This is an entrance guide, so the marker does not attempt to chart the underground tunnel turns.
