World of Warcraft Housing Will Have Room for 125 Displayed Pets
Patch 12.1 raised the planned housing limit from 10 pets to 100 indoors and 25 outdoors.
World of Warcraft players will have plenty of space for their favorite non-combat pets when Patch 12.1 adds them to Player Housing. The feature originally appeared on the PTR with a limit of just 10 pets per home, but Principal Designer Jesse Kurlancheek confirmed that the cap has been raised considerably in a post on X.
Homes will support 100 displayed pets indoors, while outdoor areas will allow 25 pets. That gives players room for up to 125 pets across their property, provided they have enough decor items to house them.
Kurlancheek’s post confirmed that the indoor limit increased from 10 to 100 and that the outdoor cap also went up, although it did not receive the same increase.

Non-combat pets will be placed through new pet bed decor. After interacting with a bed, players will be able to select the pet assigned to it and choose whether the pet stays in place or wanders around the home.
The PTR also currently allows players to assign the same pet to multiple beds. That could be useful for anyone who wants a particular companion in several rooms, though PTR features can still change before Patch 12.1 reaches the live game.
World of Warcraft’s housing system is clearly making room for more than furniture and decorations. Players with large pet collections will be able to turn their homes into busy little sanctuaries full of fuzzy residents.
