The Hall of Thanes entrance is beneath the High Seat in Ironforge. The route starts in the throne room, but the instance portal is much farther down in Old Ironforge, so do not stop at the first open doorway.

How to Reach the Entrance
- Reach the High Seat inside Ironforge. The city-map marker identifies the start of the approach, around 43, 51.
- As you enter the throne room, take the open passage on the left into Old Ironforge.
- Follow the descending route to the bottom of Old Ironforge. The dungeon portal is at the end of that descent.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Alliance players can use Ironforge as the starting point for the run. Horde parties need to plan for travel through Alliance territory and the capital itself; the underground dungeon does not make the approach through Ironforge safe.
Before You Go
The pin marks the High Seat approach, not a portal on the throne-room floor. If you are still standing beside the throne, you need to continue down. This is a Forever dungeon, not an entrance available in the original Classic dungeon set.
Check your available Ironforge and Dun Morogh quests before meeting the group. An Ancient Grudge and Important Heirlooms are available to both factions, while several other quests are Alliance-only.
