Forza Horizon 6 Series 7 Patch Notes Detail Ginetta Fix and New Engine Swaps

The update also changes Seasonal Championship difficulty and awards points for two older Festival Playlist challenges.

Forza Horizon 6’s Series 7 update will adjust the performance of the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, add engine swaps for a range of cars and reset PR Stunt leaderboards. The Steam download was scheduled for 6:00 p.m. UTC on Nov. 2, ahead of the City Life Festival Playlist on Nov. 5.

Playground Games says the Ginetta had been outperforming cars in several PI classes, affecting Horizon Play and Rivals. The Series 7 Steam notes also list a higher difficulty for co-op Seasonal Championships, while solo championships will use each player’s chosen difficulty.

Drivers looking for eligible Playlist cars will get a filter in the Garage and Autoshow. Players who logged in during two earlier weeks but could not complete certain challenges will receive points retroactively. For the Series 5 Weekly Challenge points and rewards, they will need to visit the British Automotive Playlist in the Playlist History tab.

The PR Stunt reset addresses unrealistic entries, including scores made using exploits. Legitimate entries will be removed too, although records used to unlock associated Collection Journal items will remain unlocked.

Series 7 also includes the permanent Edo Circuit Road Race and Shuto Charge Street Race, 35 IKEA garage props and new engine options. The 5.2L V10, for example, will be available for several Nissan GT-R models and the 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto. The City Life Playlist runs from Nov. 5 through Dec. 3, with lower point requirements for its new-to-Horizon cars.

Bug fixes and changes (Available from Nov 2)

General

  • Performance and stability fixes.
  • Fixed an issue where the Percentage Map Discovered did not reach 100% even after discovering the entirety of each Region (Bug 4500482).
  • Reset all PR Stunt Leaderboards due to the presence of unrealistic entries (Bug 4610362)
    • Developer’s Note:
With the release of Series 7, there will be a reset of all PR Stunt leaderboards. The team has focused on addressing several exploits that could be used to set illegitimate PR stunt scores, and we want to wipe the slate clean as a result to provide players with a fairer experience going forward.
  • The number of Festival Playlist Points required to unlock new cars has been reduced.
    • Developer’s Note:
We have made this change based on community feedback, with the intent of making new cars easier to earn for all players, including those without access to the game’s online content.

  • Fixed an issue with shadows on the Varis Widebody Kit for the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition (Bug 4588148).

  • Fixed a typo on the 2025 McLaren W1 dashboard (Bug 4562888).

  • Fixed an issue with the 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-1.6 Evolution II Forza Edition where livery mapping changed depending on level of detail (Bug 4581348).
  • Performance fix for the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior (Bug 4578281).
    • Developer’s Note:
The Ginetta G40 Junior was released in Series 5 and was quickly noted to perform significantly better than cars within the same PI Class across several different PI Classes. Its overperformance created a negative sentiment surrounding the car and its effect on the meta, while also negatively impacting the experience of Horizon Play and Rivals. As a result, within this patch, we have made the decision to fix the performance of the Ginetta G40 Junior.
  • Added a filter to the Autoshow and Garage to show cars that are eligible for the current Festival Playlist Events (Bug 4569487).

Gameplay

  • Solo Seasonal Championships now use the player’s chosen difficulty (Bug 4497533).
  • Co-op Seasonal Championship difficulty has been increased (Bug 4617769).
  • Adjusted the threshold for the Bridge Underpasses Trailblazer across all PI classes (Bug 4521164).
