CD Projekt Red Has Hired 3 Warhorse Leads Since November 2025
Zbyněk Zelinka, Zdeněk Glatz, and Karel Kolmann moved from lead roles at Warhorse Studios to senior design positions at CD Projekt Red.

CD Projekt Red has hired 3 former Warhorse Studios leads since November 2025. The latest, Zbyněk Zelinka, joined as a Senior Gameplay Designer in October 2026 after 7 years and 10 months at Warhorse.
Zelinka progressed from Technical Designer to Senior Technical Designer and then Lead Technical Designer at Warhorse. His move adds gameplay design experience to a group that also spans quest, open-world, and level design.
Karel Kolmann joined CD Projekt Red in November 2025 as a Senior Quest Designer after just over 8 years at Warhorse. He advanced from Writer and Game Designer to Senior Game Designer, then Lead Gameplay Designer, and worked on both Kingdom Come: Deliverance games.
Zdeněk Glatz followed in May 2026 as a Senior Open World Designer. He spent 8.5 years at Warhorse, where he moved through Game Designer/Writer and Senior Game Designer/Writer roles before becoming Lead Level Designer. He was lead level designer on Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and contributed to the first game and series DLC.
Together, the three bring roughly 24 years of game-design experience from Warhorse. The studio has another Kingdom Come game and a Lord of the Rings project in development, but the hires alone do not establish any change to either project.
CD Projekt Red is developing The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2, though the three designers’ individual project assignments have not been identified. In 2025, CD Projekt also hired former BioShock 4 narrative lead Albl.
