Counter-Strike 2 Update Reworks Custom Cameras and Encrypts Demo Chat
The patch fixes Cache gaps, adds an observable custom HUD property, and renames CSPlayerCamera to CustomPlayerCamera.

Counter-Strike 2‘s latest update gives map creators a reworked camera API, adds spectator controls for custom HUDs, and encrypts chat in demo files. Players also get a set of Cache changes covering map gaps, a B-site wallbang position, and spawn placement.
Cache receives several map fixes, including a repaired gap, a corrected wallbang spot on B site, a missing competitive CT spawn, and additional T spawn points.
Map creators now have a renamed CustomPlayerCamera with new functions for identifying its player, selecting a mode, and configuring follow behavior. The update also deprecates the previous camera functions. The camera and HUD work follows an earlier Counter-Strike 2 patch that added custom HUDs and scripted camera control.
Custom HUDs can now use an observable property to control whether spectators see the interface from the spectated player’s perspective. Valve also fixed stale HUD state when spectators change targets, added classes for buy-menu and scoreboard visibility, and made custom HUD layouts draw above the base HUD.
Demo files now encrypt chat under the same rules used by CS:GO. Team chat is no longer readable during demo playback, while global chat remains readable only when the demo is played through the in-game watch UI.
Valve detailed the full set of changes in its Steam announcement.
