GTA 4 RTX Remix Update 1.5.2 Cleans Up DLSS 5 and Headlight Noise

The new build uses Sparkles' DLSS 5 implementation, raises Litsprite alpha, and sets RTXDI to 64 samples by default.

Grand Theft Auto IV’s RTX Remix path tracing mod received Update 1.5.2, a focused build that changes the DLSS 5 implementation and tunes several visual effects. The release targets shadow flicker, overall stability, mist, tire smoke, and noisy headlights.

Modder xoxor4d replaced Lunks’ initial DLSS 5 integration with Sparkles’ implementation. The change cuts down on shadow flicker and improves stability, giving the mod a cleaner image when DLSS 5 is enabled.

Particle effects also received a small adjustment. Update 1.5.2 slightly increases the alpha of Litsprite particles, which improves the appearance of mist and tire smoke during gameplay.

Headlights should look cleaner as well. The update sets the default RTXDI sample count to 64, reducing the visible noise produced by vehicle lighting.

Update 1.5.2 follows the mod’s earlier RTX Remix update, which added new PBR materials, siren fixes, and a moonlight brightness setting. The latest release is smaller in scope, but its changes affect several parts of the image that players see throughout Liberty City.
