Windrose Offers an Ashlands Sneak Peek With 10% Off Through September 7

The work-in-progress preview includes a colorful NPC armor set, new halberd and greatsword designs, faction clothing, and a Brethren of the Coast Galleon variant.

Windrose has offered a fresh look at the work behind its upcoming Ashlands update, showing off new character gear, weapon designs, faction outfits, and a Galleon variant. The game’s 10% discount for the upcoming Steam PvE Survival Crafting Fest 2026 is already live and will remain available through September 7.

In a new Steam announcement, the team shared several early development details. The Galleon and other ships are still being worked on, so their final designs may change as production continues.

These previews fit the wider direction outlined in an earlier Ashlands development plan, which covered story progression, a fourth biome, and more room for ship and base systems to grow. The latest material offers a closer look at the art and equipment being prepared for that larger update.

New armor and weapons are in the works

One colorful armor set is being prepared for an NPC. The character’s identity was left as a small guessing game, giving players one detail to work out while the outfit itself takes center stage.

Halberds and greatswords are also receiving attention. The preview shows multiple designs across both weapon types, although the announcement does not explain whether their stats, availability, or combat behavior will change.

Faction clothing and a new Galleon variant

Several faction clothing sets are being designed to better reflect the character of each group. The team has not identified which set belongs to which faction yet, leaving another little mystery for the community.

Ships get their own showcase with a Brethren of the Coast Galleon variant and an early look at ship damage effects. Both details point toward more visual variety on the water, though the ship lineup is still subject to change.

The 10% festival discount is already live

Steam PvE Survival Crafting Fest 2026 will run from August 31 through September 7. Windrose’s 10% discount is already active and will stay available until the festival ends, giving interested players a chance to pick up the game at a lower price while Ashlands development continues.
