WoW Forever Excavation Site: Wetlands Entrance Location and Route

Excavation Site: Wetlands is reached by a new uphill path south of Thelgen Rock. The meeting-stone approach and the hilltop instance portal are separate stops, so follow the road upwards instead of walking straight towards the portal marker through the mountains.
Location at a Glance
- Zone: Wetlands
- Level guidance: 24-29
- Version: World of Warcraft: Forever

How to Reach the Entrance
- Travel to the southern Wetlands and find the uphill approach near Thelgen Rock, around the 53, 65 area.
- Follow the new mountain path past the meeting-stone area. Do not stop at the roadside staging point.
- Continue along the approach to the instance entrance around 47.8, 56.3 on the Wetlands map.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Alliance players can approach from Menethil Harbor or through the Dun Algaz tunnels from Loch Modan. Horde groups have a longer overland trip through Hillsbrad and Arathi into the Wetlands. Collect useful flight paths before committing to the final walk.
Before You Go
The old Whelgar's Excavation Site quest area is not the dungeon portal. Likewise, the spider cavern at Thelgen Rock is a landmark for finding the new road, not the instance entrance itself. The base map shows the established zone geography; follow the visible Forever road for the climb.
The announced level band is 24-29, but the documented final boss is level 31 and a full clear is more demanding than merely accepting level-24 quests. Discuss the intended clear with your group rather than treating the lower number as a guarantee of an easy run.
