Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Feast of Grimnir Event Runs Through September 6 in Patch 6.12.0

Players can access the seasonal mission through Weekly Event on the Adventure map and earn shillings and chests from repeatable quests.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is bringing back the Feast of Grimnir event with Patch 6.12.0. The event will run from August 25 through September 6, sending players back to Karak Dal to face its trolls once again.

To start the seasonal mission, open the Adventure map and select the Weekly Event game mode. Completing the Feast of Grimnir mission progresses the repeatable Event Quests in Okri’s Book, with shillings and chests available as rewards.

Lohner’s Emporium of Wonders will also offer time-limited access to rewards from previous events. Those items can be purchased with shillings during the Feast of Grimnir.

The update gives the Troll Chief a new portrait frame that better reflects its chieftain status, while boss phase information is now presented in a way that resembles grudge marks. The Troll Chief will use ‘Lord’ damage reduction instead of ‘Boss’ damage reduction. Its maximum health was lowered to offset that change, but Fatshark says the creature should still be tougher to defeat. Its health also increased by approximately 15% in Cataclysm 3.

Several fixes target crashes involving Twitch connections, Necromancer skeletons, Weekly Expeditions, seasonal changes in the Keep, and backend rewards received while running an older game version. Fatshark detailed the full update in its Steam announcement.

Feast of Grimnir
- Updated the Troll Chief’s portrait frame to be more fitting to their chieftain status. Now boss phase information is presented similarly to grudge marks.
- Troll Chief now uses ‘Lord’ damage reduction instead of ‘Boss’. Max health was lowered to compensate, but should overall be a tougher beastie to bring down.
- Troll Chief health was increased by aproximately 15% in Cataclysm 3.

Fixed a crash when firewall software blocks connecting to Twitch servers.
Fixed a crash when the Necromancer sacrificed a skeleton that had already died in the host or server.
Fixed a bug that allowed Necromancer to sacrifice the same skeleton multiple times with enough latency.
Fixed several unlocalized strings in the equipment customization view.
Fixed a crash that only happened on Mondays when closing the Weekly expedition view while it is refreshing. No, really.
Fixed a crash when interacting with a Keep painting around the time there is a seasonal keep change.
More fixes on the Skittergate invincibility.
Fixed a crash when receiving a reward from the backend while running an older game version.
Fixed a bug where runed illusions for Kerillian’s Longbow had lower glow intensity than intended.
