Albion Online’s Grim Challenge Will Bring Back the Pest Lizard

The mount's Toxic Cloud temporarily disorients enemies, and weekly chests offer a chance at four themed furnishings.

Albion Online’s upcoming Grim Challenge will bring back the Pest Lizard as its monthly mount, along with a skull-topped avatar border and themed weekly chests. Sandbox Interactive’s Steam announcement confirms the mount’s return and details its Toxic Cloud ability, which temporarily disorients enemies who touch it and can disrupt enemy players.

The event uses the Adventurer’s Challenge, where gathering, fishing, farming, and defeating monsters earn Challenge Points. Points fill daily, weekly, and monthly progress bars, which players can track through the Activities menu.

Reaching weekly point totals unlocks Grim Challenge Chests. They can contain Adventurer’s Tomes, Silver, resources, and other loot, with a chance to earn four themed furnishings: the Empty Coffin, Grim Gravestone, Grim Lantern, and Weeping Woman Statue.

Players who earn enough total Challenge Points can also claim the Grim Challenge Avatar Ring. The non-tradable item permanently unlocks its skull-framed avatar border for one character, or can be exchanged with the Vanity Merchant for one Adventurer’s Token. The reward structure follows October’s Harvest Challenge, which also paired a themed mount and avatar reward with weekly chests.

Premium is required to unlock the monthly rewards, including the Pest Lizard and Avatar Ring, as well as the weekly chests. Daily rewards are open to everyone and include 10 Learning Points and a Tier 4 Tome of Insight. Players without Premium can still make progress on every reward track, and their earned rewards will be waiting if they activate Premium later.
