The EWC 2026 CS2 Final Will Move Into Paris' Accor Arena

The MongolZ advanced to the Esports World Cup 2026 Group D upper-bracket semifinals after beating magic 13-7 on Mirage. The loss sends magic into the lower bracket at the $2 million LAN in Paris.

The MongolZ opened on the CT side and built an 8-4 lead before the break. After the teams switched sides, the Mongolian squad added five rounds while magic managed three, closing out the only map without giving its opponent a chance to force a decider.

910 leads The MongolZ on Mirage

910 was the clear star of the match. He finished with a 20-12 kill-death record, 103.2 ADR, and a 1.56 rating. bLitz followed with a 1.34 rating, while tikuak posted a 1.22 rating after going 12-12.

MaSvAl produced magic’s best rating despite tenzy finishing with one more kill. The rest of magic struggled to match that output, with mo0N ending the map at 6-14 and a 0.48 rating.

Both teams remain alive in Group D

The match was part of the group stage for the Counter-Strike 2 EWC 2026 tournament, which runs from Aug. 12-23. The group stage runs through Aug. 16 before the playoffs begin on Aug. 19. Its GSL-style double-elimination format gives magic another route forward through the lower bracket, while The MongolZ gets to continue on the upper side after its opening win.

A projected VRS calculation has The MongolZ moving from No. 16 to No. 14 with a gain of 42 points, bringing the team to 1,684 points. magic is projected to fall from No. 25 to No. 26 after losing four points, leaving it at 1,509.
