FUT are into the Esports World Cup semifinals after beating MOUZ 2-0 in Counter-Strike 2. The series began with a 16-13 Dust2 win and ended on Ancient, where FUT closed out the map 13-5.
The result gave FUT a third straight win over MOUZ after taking the teams’ previous two meetings as well. MOUZ changed its veto and moved away from Nuke, but the adjustment did not stop FUT from dictating the pace of the quarterfinal.
Dust2 initially belonged to MOUZ, which opened with five unanswered rounds. FUT answered with an aggressive CT setup that repeatedly challenged map control, created fast flanks, and forced MOUZ into uncomfortable fights. The response put FUT in front before the half was over.
MOUZ did find a way back after the break. Strong utility usage gave the team clean opportunities during several retakes, while a few overextensions from FUT kept the map close. MOUZ eventually forced overtime, but FUT regained its focus and won the extra rounds 4-1 to take the opening map 16-13.
Ancient was far more one-sided. Aside from a handful of impact plays from Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás, MOUZ struggled to match FUT’s tactics or individual firepower. FUT built a commanding lead and never allowed the map to turn into another extended fight, finishing the series with a 13-5 victory.
