PlayStation’s 2026 PS5 release roundup covers 19 games scheduled to arrive between July 28 and November 19. The lineup jumps from sci-fi shooters and supernatural adventures to racing games, platformers, tactical strategy, and one very large open-world crime saga.

July and August

Halo: Campaign Evolved – July 28

The Combat Evolved remake will bring Master Chief to PlayStation for the first time. It will feature upgraded visuals, extra and redesigned missions, changes to lore and movement, additional weapons, four-player online co-op, and two-player couch co-op.

Beast of Reincarnation – August 4

Game Freak’s action RPG takes place in the post-apocalyptic ruins of Japan in the year 4026. Emma, an outcast affected by a plague, and Koo, a blighted dog, will search for the source of the corruption. Combat combines real-time swordplay with turn-based-style commands that let the pair work together.

Big Walk – August 4

The next game from the team behind Untitled Goose Game will send up to 12 players across an open world built around cooperation. Players will communicate through singing, codes, gestures, and controller inputs while solving puzzles together. Big Walk will also join the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup at launch.

MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls – August 6

Arc System Works’ tag-based fighter will feature 20 playable heroes and villains, including Black Panther, Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, and Carnage. Its 4v4 battles can support lobbies of up to 64 players. A tutorial, single-player mode, and easier combo inputs will give new players a way into the action.

Metal Gear Solid: Collection Master Vol. 2 – August 27

Konami’s second collection will bring together Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. The package will include a master book covering the series’ story and characters, along with in-game items tied to save data from Metal Gear Solid: Collection Master Vol. 1.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy – August 27

Set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, this third entry will follow Sophia, a plunderer trying to survive Minotaur Island. Traps, puzzles, beasts, and a pursuing army will stand between her and the island’s mythological secrets.

Star Wars Zero Company – August 27

Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment will return to the Clone Wars era with a turn-based tactics game. Players will assemble a squad of Jedi, blaster-wielding scoundrels, astromechs, and other specialists. Team bonds can unlock combat synergies during the fight to protect the galaxy.

September releases

The Blood of Dawnwalker – September 3

Rebel Wolves’ dark fantasy action RPG will take place in the 14th-century kingdom of Vale Sangora. Coen will have 30 days to save his family while dealing with a mysterious blood curse. The game will include branching choices, sword and magic combat, and a story centered on family and morality.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword – September 4

Capcom’s supernatural samurai adventure will follow Musashi through early Edo-period Kyoto. Players will battle human enemies and demonic Genma with sword stances, parries, combos, and powers granted by the Oni Gauntlet. The environment can also become part of the fight.

Marvel’s Wolverine – September 15

Insomniac Games’ Wolverine story will send the clawed hero around the world as he tries to free fellow mutants. Jean Grey, Sabretooth, and Mystique will appear alongside brutal combat, large set pieces, and Wolverine’s familiar healing factor.

Control Resonant – September 24

Remedy’s follow-up will move away from the original game’s third-person shooter focus and lean into action RPG systems. Dylan Faden will search for his sister Jesse while using the shapeshifting Aberrant weapon, which can become blades, a hammer, and other forms. The story will include strange enemies, physics-defying areas, and cosmic horror.

Silent Hill: Townfall – September 24

Simon Ordell’s story will take players to the Scottish island of St. Amelia in a first-person horror adventure about loss and consequences. Melee weapons and firearms will be available, but stealth, distractions, and puzzle solving will be key to surviving the island’s threats.

October’s crowded schedule

Rayman Legends Retold – October 1

Ubisoft’s reworking of the action platformer will feature refreshed 3D visuals, fully voiced cinematics, gameplay adjustments, and additional levels. Up to four players will be able to play together locally, with the revised football-inspired Kung Foot mini-game also included.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve – October 2

Bandai Namco’s flight combat series will pair dogfights with first-person cinematic sequences and a story that can respond to player actions. The game will feature co-op missions, cross-platform play, and an online lobby supporting up to eight players for competitive battles.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer – October 6

This story-driven racing game will take place during the New Republic era after Return of the Jedi. It will include characters and customizable vehicles from across the Star Wars timeline, with races set on planets such as Jakku and Tatooine. Online multiplayer will support up to 12 players.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse – October 15

Evil Empire, Motion Twin, and Konami will combine the action of Dead Cells with Castlevania’s gothic world. The side-scrolling adventure will be set in a besieged medieval Paris, two decades after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and the recent animated series. Traps, secrets, platforming, combat, and unpredictable level design will fill the journey.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 – October 23

The campaign will take place across the Korean Peninsula during a war between North and South Korea. Multiplayer will launch with 12 new 6v6 maps, including the changing-layout Kill Block map. DMZ will also return as a living sandbox, with up to 20 squads of three players competing for survival.

Phantom Blade Zero – October 29

Folk horror, wuxia, and fantasy will collide in this action RPG from S-GAME. Players will control Soul, an assassin with 66 days left to live, in a dark semi-open world filled with machinery and martial arts inspired by Hong Kong cinema. A dedicated State of Play presentation is scheduled for later in summer 2026.
