Respawn’s upcoming Star Wars game will be using Unreal Engine 5

Bit Reactor, the studio partnered with Respawn Entertainment to bring a new Star Wars IP to life has revealed that the upcoming game will use the Unreal Engine 5. At first, this was spotted by a Reddit user, which led to a job listing on the official website confirming the same.

As per the job listing, the company needs a Senior Lighting Artist. It says that “In this role you will be responsible for lighting various levels and cinematics using Lumen in Unreal Engine 5“. Furthermore, the job listing also reveals plans for a console release, despite the fact that it’s a word about a strategy game, which typically syncs with PC gaming quite well.

Recently, Bit Reactor confirmed that their game remains intact, despite the recent cancellation of Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars first-person shooter game. Unreal Engine 5 has everything. From high-quality visuals and additions to smooth gameplay and capabilities, this choice has been quite on point.

While specifics are still unknown, the reveal of Unreal Engine 5 is quite exciting and reassuring for fans. More to follow.
