Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 is stirring conversation ahead of its release due to notable changes in its soundtrack. While returning classics like Motorhead’s “Ace of Spades” and CKY’s “96 Quite Bitter Beings” will feature, some favorite tracks have been cut and swapped for a new selection that Tony Hawk personally curated. This move has sparked debate among fans who grew up with the original soundtracks.
In an Instagram post, Tony Hawk stated, “It was my choice to pick some different songs by the same artists featured in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4‘s original soundtrack. I’m hoping that discovery is half the fun, and a big reason that these soundtracks resonated in the first place. So listen and enjoy the ride. More to come—both old and new.”
The updated music list includes fresh additions such as “Real Thing” by Turnstile, “End It” by New Wage Slavery, and “Collard Greens” featuring Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar. However, there are also significant omissions; notably, Bam Margera’s return was uncertain at first but has since been clarified by Hawk via VGC, stating that he requested Margera’s inclusion.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will launch on July 11 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Excitingly, it will be available on day one for Game Pass subscribers. The game promises new skaters alongside revamped gameplay tailored to suit players familiar with the classic two-minute objective format from earlier titles.
