Space Marine 2 has pushed the Purgation Update live on PC, PS5, and Xbox, and the free package adds a new PvE mission on Kadaku, a rework for Siege Mode progression, and fresh weapon and armor cosmetics. The update also brings in new Hive Tyrant and Mutalith Vortex Beast enemies.
It also adds the Bolt Carbine Sidearm, a new secondary weapon, plus a practice area on the Battle-Barge where players can test it before heading back into the fight.
For players who have not jumped in yet, a free trial runs from May 21 through May 25. It includes the first couple of campaign missions, the Inferno, Decapitation, and Vortex Operations, along with all PvP modes.
The studio also said a patch is going live today, May 21, with the usual balance changes and PvP tweaks. There is a lot in this one, and it gives players a clear reason to load back in.
