The team behind Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Soul of Anatolia just got its close-up

SCS Software's June 20 feature highlighted the artists and map designers building the upcoming Türkiye-focused expansion, including veterans from Greece and Nordic Horizons and newer hires from the modding scene.

On June 20, 2026, SCS Software published a Meet the Team feature for Soul of Anatolia, the next map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2. The DLC will send drivers through Türkiye, with historic cities, cultural sites, coastlines, mountains, and roads that are clearly being built with a lot of care.

The studio also pointed to the expansion’s Steam page, while using the post to put faces to the people building the map. It is a mix of long-time SCS developers, newer hires, and at least one team member who came over from the ETS2 modding scene.

Ernest, the ETS2 map DLC lead, said Soul of Anatolia is his second project in that role after the Greece DLC. He described the team as talented and enthusiastic, and said Türkiye is being approached with the goal of giving players the most polished version possible.

Tomáš, who joined SCS in December 2017, has already worked on cities such as Klaipeda, Andenes, Larissa, Lillehammer, Zadar, Olbia, and Kovrov. For Soul of Anatolia, he is building cities and roads, and he now handles border-crossing work across the studio’s map projects.

Jakub said he started with the West Balkans DLC and later contributed to Greece and Nordic Horizons. He is focused on landscapes, wide scenery, and distinct locations, and he also works on cutscenes. Klára, who spent time on Greece and Nordic Horizons, said Türkiye’s history, culture, and scenery stood out to her as the team moved into the region.

Vlad brought more than 10 years of ETS2 map modding experience to SCS, where he has now been working for almost two months. Soul of Anatolia is his first project at the studio, and he is currently working on a coastal city, advanced road layouts, and early landscape work. OndÅ™ej and Petr, both junior map designers on their first project, are focused on the Turkish coastline and the country’s southern mountain regions.

Lucie, who joined SCS in 2024 on Nordic Horizons, is now working across cities and locations in Anatolia. Kristýna, who joined in 2020 and previously worked on Iberia and Nordic Horizons, said the region’s old monuments and archaeological sites are part of what makes the map so interesting. Pavel, meanwhile, has spent nearly seven years at SCS and has moved from general map design into road specialist work on projects including Iberia, West Balkans, Greece, Nordic Horizons, Scandinavia Refresh, and Benelux Rework.

It is the kind of behind-the-scenes update that makes a truck sim expansion feel bigger than a list of roads and cities. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
