November 2026 Max Monday schedule
| Date | Featured Pokémon or event |
|---|---|
| November 2 | Dynamax Machop. Max Battles run from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time. |
| November 9 | No regular Max Monday. Special event Max Battles will still be available during Into the Wild and GO Wild Area. |

| November 30 | Dynamax Cryogonal. |
Daily Discoveries will pause from November 9 through 15 during Into the Wild and GO Wild Area, which is why the calendar has no regular Max Monday that week. The pause does not remove Max Battles from those special events.
Dynamax Trails gives Trainers a wider pool of battles from November 16 at 10:00 a.m. through November 23 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Any previously released Dynamax Pokémon may appear during the event, apart from Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. The rotation overlaps Espurr’s scheduled appearance on November 23.
Dynamax Machop battle details and counters
Machop is a Tier 2 Fighting-type boss, weak to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy attacks. Each battle costs 400 Max Particles, but the particles are consumed only if you win. The battle can be completed solo, and shiny Machop is available.
Max Monday bonuses include 1 Rare Candy XL for completing an in-person Max Battle, more frequent Power Spot refreshes, and additional Power Spots active on Mondays.
Alakazam is the leading attacker, with Max Mindstorm exploiting Machop’s Psychic weakness. Azelf, Latios, Espeon, and Metagross are other Psychic options, while Moltres can use Max Airstream for Flying damage. A balanced lineup can pair Alakazam with Vespiquen as a defender, using Bug Bite, Fury Cutter, or Poison Sting, and Dynamax Blissey as a healer with Pound.
Groups of four can assign two teams to attacking, one to defending, and one to healing. Each Trainer brings three Pokémon, starting with a Charger that has a 0.5-second Fast Move before switching to two attackers. Fast Move typing determines the Max Move’s type, so an attacker needs a suitable Fast Move to hit Machop’s weaknesses. Fast Attacks help fill the Max Meter, and swiping toward energy icons can add to it. Once the meter fills, a three-second countdown lets the group choose a Pokémon for the three-turn Dynamax phase.
Machop’s listed Charged Moves are Brick Break, Cross Chop, and Low Sweep. Its single-target attack can be dodged by swiping when the warning appears, but its attack on all active Pokémon cannot be dodged.
