Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global will give Trainers a Steel- and Dragon-themed weekend on Nov. 14 and 15, 2026. Dynamax Dialga will headline Saturday’s Max Battles, Dynamax Palkia will take over Sunday, and both Pokémon can appear in Shiny form.
The worldwide event will follow the Sendai and Mexico City gatherings scheduled for Nov. 6 through Nov. 8. The 2026 Wild Area schedule includes the dates for all three event locations.
Dynamax Dialga and Palkia split the Max Battles
Dynamax Dialga will appear in Max Battles on Saturday, Nov. 14, while Dynamax Palkia will be available on Sunday, Nov. 15. Each Pokémon has its own day, so Trainers hoping to add both to their collection will need to take part across the full weekend.
Machamp wearing a modern jacket will also appear in three-star raids on both days. The costumed Pokémon can be Shiny and will know Karate Chop, giving the weekend another collection target beyond its Dynamax debuts.
Mighty Pokémon return with a harder catch
Mighty Pokémon will appear in the wild and through Incense, with different wild encounters on Saturday and Sunday. They are harder to catch than ordinary encounters, but they are more likely to have high Attack, Defense and HP ratings, as well as XL or XXL sizes. Any of them can also be Shiny.
GO Safari Balls will be available to all Trainers by spinning PokéStops and Photo Discs at Gyms during event hours. The event-exclusive balls make Mighty Pokémon easier to catch, and ticket holders will also receive GO Safari Balls from hourly GO Wild Area Supply Balloons.
Saturday’s Mighty encounters will include Alolan Exeggutor, Scizor, Flygon, Walrein, Metagross, Empoleon, Magnezone, Conkeldurr and Haxorus. Sunday’s group will feature Azumarill, Kingdra, Aggron, Ferrothorn, Hydreigon, Goodra, Noivern, Tinkaton and Clodsire.
The free event and ticket bonuses
The optional event ticket costs US$11.99 through the Pokémon GO Web Store. All Trainers can access the core event, while the ticket adds branching Special Research, more encounters and higher daily limits. Unless otherwise stated, the main bonuses run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on both days.
| Bonus | Free event | Ticket event |
|---|---|---|
| Free Raid Passes per day | Up to 3 | Up to 6 |
| Max Particle collection limit per day | 1,600 | 3,200 |
| GO Snapshot surprises per day | 3 | 6 |
| Candy for catching Pokémon | Standard | 2× |
| Incense duration | Standard | 2× |
| Lure Module duration | Standard | 2 hours when activated during event hours |
The ticket also raises the chance of receiving 10 km Eggs and Max Particles, increases Shiny odds, adds hourly GO Wild Area Supply Balloons and unlocks extra Incense encounters. Those encounters include Unown D, I, L and W, plus a chance to find Mighty Latias and Latios. The two Legendary Pokémon can be Shiny and may flee quickly.
Ticket holders will receive up to six Special Trades per day at half the usual Stardust cost. Those trade bonuses run from 12:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. local time on Nov. 14 and 15, rather than only during the main event hours. The daily limits are total limits, not extra amounts added to the free allotment.
Steel and Dragon habitats alternate throughout the weekend
The event’s two habitats will alternate every hour on both days. Solid as Steel Hour will run from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., noon to 1:00 p.m., 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Daring as Dragons Hour will fill the gaps from 11:00 a.m. to noon, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Steel-hour encounters will include Beldum, Lucario, Drilbur, Klink and Rookidee, while Dragon-hour targets will include Dratini, Bagon, Gible, Axew, Deino, Goomy, Jangmo-o and Frigibax.
Featured attacks and 10 km Eggs
Several Pokémon encountered or evolved during GO Wild Area: Global will know event attacks. The featured moves include Karate Chop for Machamp wearing a modern jacket, Earth Power for Flygon, Meteor Mash for Metagross, Magnet Bomb for Magnezone, Breaking Swipe for Haxorus, Brutal Swing for Hydreigon and Gigaton Hammer for Tinkaton.
Honedge, Klefki, Drampa and Duraludon will hatch from 10 km Eggs during the event, and all four can be Shiny. Ticket holders will have an increased chance of receiving those Eggs from PokéStops and Gym Photo Discs during the event hours.
Ticket holders choose a Steel or Dragon path
All Trainers will have a higher chance of receiving event-themed Field Research. Ticket holders can claim a branching Special Research story when the event begins on Nov. 14, then choose either the Steel- or Dragon-type path. Completing the selected path awards one of two in-game medals.
Trainers who attended an in-person GO Wild Area event can also receive the Special Research if they purchase a ticket for the Global event. Party Play will be active for eight hours, and Mighty Pokémon can also appear on Routes during the weekend.
