Pokémon GO Wild Area will return in November 2026 with two in-person city events and a separate global celebration. The details were announced in the official Pokémon GO announcement, while the official event page outlines the wider schedule and gameplay features.
Sendai, Japan, and Mexico City, Mexico, will host the citywide events from November 6 through November 8, 2026. Daily play is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, with Trainers able to play throughout both cities rather than at a single venue.
Sendai will offer a chance to enjoy the Tohoku region’s scenery and history, while Mexico City will bring the event to Mexico’s capital and its busy streets. Both locations will serve as large-scale, real-world Pokémon GO experiences.
Global weekend details
Trainers who cannot travel to either city will still have a worldwide option. Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global will run on November 14 and 15, 2026. Dynamax Dialga will appear in Max Battles on Saturday, followed by Dynamax Palkia on Sunday, and both Legendary Pokémon can appear in their Shiny forms.
City event features
The two in-person events will feature Dynamax debuts alongside Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra. A Machamp wearing a modern jacket will appear in Three-Star Raids, while Mighty Pokémon will return with better odds of high Attack, Defense, and HP values, as well as larger XL or XXL sizes.
City events will be ticketed, while the main global celebration will be available worldwide with optional ticket bonuses. Rotating Steel- and Dragon-themed habitats, event Eggs, Special Research, and extra bonuses for ticket holders will add more to the global weekend. Tickets for the Sendai and Mexico City events, along with the global event’s optional bonuses, will become available during the next Season.
As with all Pokémon GO events, the schedule can change. Trainers should remain aware of their surroundings and follow local health guidance while playing.
