Gears of War is opening the fifth year of its Never Fight Alone campaign on September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day. The Coalition is continuing its partnership with Crisis Text Line through new merchandise, in-game items, and a charity bundle planned for the launch of Gears of War: E-Day.
The Coalition said in its Xbox Wire announcement that 1% of net revenue from its products goes to Crisis Text Line. The campaign has supported more than 16,000 conversations so far, while the organization recently expanded its reach through a partnership with Aquí Estoy, which serves people across 20 Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean.
Year 5 brings new Gears merchandise and game items
UK-based illustrator Luke Preece created this year’s campaign artwork. His designs will appear on a 2026 T-shirt and hoodie sold through the Xbox Game Studios Shop, along with new in-game items arriving with Gears of War: E-Day.
The Never Fight Alone Charity Bundle will arrive alongside Gears of War: E-Day‘s October 6 launch. It will include a character skin, weapon skin set, emblem, banner, and icon. All net revenue from the bundle will go directly to Crisis Text Line, supporting its free, confidential, 24/7 mental health and crisis intervention services.
How players can reach Crisis Text Line
Crisis Text Line CEO Dena Trujillo said the partnership reflects what a gaming community can do when it helps people find support. The Coalition’s campaign also gives players a direct way to reach a volunteer by texting GEARS to 741741.
Gears of War has tied its community message to practical help for five years, and the new bundle keeps that support connected to the franchise’s next major release. If you or someone you know is struggling, text GEARS to 741741 to be connected with a Crisis Text Line volunteer.
