SCUM’s November Update Will Add Controller Support and Steam Deck Multiplayer
The November 9 update will also bring back the revamped tattoo system and make Photo Mode available to everyone.

SCUM’s November update is scheduled for Monday, November 9, bringing its first release of controller support and multiplayer access through Proton for Linux and Steam Deck players. The update will also return the revamped tattoo system and make Photo Mode available to everyone.
Gamepires’ November update preview on Steam also promises more frequent hotfixes as the team puts greater attention on bugs and stability over the coming weeks. Further balance changes, fixes, and quality-of-life improvements are planned for the update, with full notes to come when it goes live.
Photo Mode and tattoos open up to more players
Photo Mode was previously part of the Supporter pack. With the November update, every player will be able to use it, while the returning tattoo system gives prisoners a way to customize their characters with body art.
Proton brings multiplayer to Linux and Steam Deck
Linux and Steam Deck players will be able to join multiplayer servers through Proton. Some players had already managed to get the feature working, but the update will mark its first official support. Controller support is also arriving in its first release, and Gamepires says it will use player feedback to guide further work on the experience.
