Pokémon GO’s Mega Clefable Raid Day Will Add Moonblast+ on Nov. 28

A $4.99 ticket will raise the Gym Photo Disc pass total to 14, while the Remote Raid limit will reach 20 for a limited window.

Mega Clefable will debut in Pokémon GO’s Super Mega Raids on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The official event announcement also details a Global Challenge that will determine temporary bonuses for Mega Clefable.

Clefable caught in raids will range from 1,322 to 1,392 CP without a weather boost, or 1,653 to 1,741 CP in Cloudy or Windy weather. Mega Clefable is a Fairy- and Flying-type Pokémon, and Shiny encounters will have boosted odds of 1 in 10.

Super Max progression brings Moonblast+

Mega Clefable can use the additional Charged Attack Moonblast+ while Mega Evolved. It has 80 power in Trainer Battles and a chance to lower the opponent’s Attack by one stage. In Gyms and Raids, it has 160 power, and its strength increases with Clefable’s Mega Level.

Clefable must reach the third Mega Level, Max, before advancing to Super Max. Mega Raids and Mega Energy are both needed for that progression, so Mega Evolving alone will not unlock it. The earlier Mega Chandelure Raid Day paired the same Super Max track with Ominous Wind+.

Global Challenge sets temporary bonuses

The Global Challenge runs from Friday, Nov. 27, at 5:00 p.m. PST through Saturday, Nov. 28, at 8:00 p.m. PST. Trainers around the world can complete Raid Battles to unlock tiers, with more tiers bringing greater rewards. The Remote Raid limit will also rise to 20 during that same window.

Based on the challenge results, bonuses will apply from Monday, Nov. 30, at 12:00 p.m. PST through Sunday, Dec. 13, at 12:00 p.m. PST. Moonblast+ will receive a base-power boost for Mega Clefable at Mega Level 1 or higher, except in the GO Battle League. Mega Clefable at Super Max will also receive a combat power boost. The boosts depend on how many challenge tiers Trainers complete.

Raid passes, research, and ticket details

All Trainers can earn up to six free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs. Clefable caught in Super Mega Raids will have Mega Level 1 unlocked, and Shiny Clefable will have an increased encounter chance.

Timed Research during the event rewards a Premium Battle Pass and an encounter with Metagross. The research expires, so its tasks must be completed and its rewards claimed before it ends.

An optional US$4.99 ticket raises the day’s Gym Photo Disc pass total to 14 and increases the chance of receiving Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles. Ticket holders also get an extra 5,000 XP and 5,000 Stardust from Super Mega Raids. Those bonuses apply on Nov. 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

Tickets can be gifted to Pokémon GO friends at Great Friends level or higher, cannot be purchased with PokéCoins, and are nonrefundable subject to applicable law and the exceptions in the Terms of Service. The in-game shop will stop selling tickets at 5:00 p.m. local time on Nov. 28. The Pokémon GO Web Store will also offer a US$4.99 Clefable Super Mega Raid Day Ultra Ticket Box with the event ticket and a bonus Premium Battle Pass.

Finding Super Mega Raids

Super Mega Raids require teamwork and may appear only at certain Gyms. The Pokémon GO map shows possible and active raid locations, along with nearby community meetups. These raids have typically been more likely to appear in parks and similar areas.
