Euro Truck Simulator 2 Update 1.62 Refreshes Garages and Adds 3 DAF Editions
The update also reworks the Iveco S-Way's interior materials, refreshes Goodyear paint jobs and adds 11 songs to the stream-safe Escape station.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 update 1.62 is now available on Steam, bringing refreshed garages, three DAF XG+ editions and changes to truck interiors, paint jobs and in-game radio. SCS Software confirmed the release in its Steam announcement.
The three DAF XG+ editions previewed ahead of release are now part of the update. Emerald and Sapphire bring green and blue paint jobs with matching exterior accessories and cabin details. The orange 30 Years in Czechia edition marks DAF’s 30 years in the country with anniversary trim and dedicated upholstery, as SCS detailed in its DAF edition breakdown.
New garage models cover the base map and all map DLCs, with refreshed interiors and exteriors. SCS says it worked to keep their performance cost in check compared with the older models, a goal covered in its garage update details.
The Iveco S-Way is the latest truck to join the Improved Material System. Its interior gets enhanced lighting and improved visual quality, with attention to how different materials respond to light. SCS shared more about the Iveco S-Way material changes.
The Goodyear Tyres Pack paint jobs now use the company’s updated logo and slightly adjusted colors. Escape, the only stream-safe station in the in-game radio lineup, has also had tracks that caused copyright issues removed. Eleven new songs extend its playlist and bring its runtime closer to that of the other stations.
