The First Descendant’s Kuiper Shard Boost Misses Onslaught and Trials Rewards

Nexon says Patch 1.4.8 is scheduled to address the affected rewards this week as it investigates whether other content is affected.

The Kuiper Shard Boost in The First Descendant is not applying its full effect to Wave rewards in Onslaught or Commander Combat Zone rewards in Trials, Nexon says in a Steam notice. Using the item still increases the total Kuiper Shards earned, but those rewards are not receiving the boost.

Nexon plans to address both reward types in Patch 1.4.8, which is scheduled for release this week. The change is intended to apply the boost to Onslaught’s Wave rewards and Trials’ Commander Combat Zone rewards.

The development team is also checking whether the same or a similar problem affects other content. After that investigation, Nexon says it will share the scope of the issue and details on follow-up measures and compensation.
