Halls of Torment’s Weekly Challenge Shrine Is Now on Xbox

Xbox players also get Kill Count mode, lifetime records and The Lost Archives, while Weekly Challenges remain free for everyone.

Halls of Torment’s Weekly Challenge Shrine is now available on Xbox, arriving with the free update and The Lost Archives. Chasing Carrots confirmed the Xbox release in its Nov. 4 Xbox Wire post.

The free update and The Lost Archives were already available with the Oct. 22 release, so Nov. 4 marks their Xbox arrival rather than their first launch. The expansion adds a new hall and two heroes, the Inquisitor and Blood Apostle. The Inquisitor uses Judgement and Execution, while the Blood Apostle spends health to strengthen her attacks and works with Fragile and Affliction.

Each week sets one shared challenge

The Weekly Challenge is free for everyone and rotates through the five base halls. Each week gives players the same hall, mode and artifact setup, then compares their scores. Artifact bonuses for Torment Shards are disabled during a challenge, but Lords can still drop 2 to 10 extra shards based on the score.

A shared setup gives repeat attempts a common baseline, so players can focus on how they handle the same restrictions rather than building around a different artifact selection each run.

Kill Count mode offers another way to finish a run

The update also adds Kill Count mode to every hall. Instead of waiting for a timer to run out, players fight until they reach a kill target, and they can switch modes at the Shrine of Torment. Artifacts that bring more enemies into a run can help players reach that target sooner.

The Scriptor now tracks personal records and accumulated stats since release. The Compendium includes records for characters, abilities, maps and challenges, and players can display records during a run.
