Squad Hotfix 10.6.3 Client Release 2 Fixes Favorites and 3 Crashes

The client-only build does not require a server update or restart, and players can keep using either client version.

Squad Hotfix 10.6.3 Client Release 2 fixes server favorites that disappeared each time the client restarted, along with 3 client crashes. Because it is client-only, servers do not need an update or restart, and players can keep playing on either build until they choose to switch, according to Offworld’s release notes. Before this client-only build, the earlier 10.6.3 hotfix had restored HABs to their pre-10.6 behavior and also fixed a Jensen’s Range display issue, a dragged-player crash, and empty-server map changes via RCON.

The crash fixes cover Nvidia Frame Gen failing while exiting the game on certain graphics cards, disconnecting from a Fireteam mission, and a rare crash in back-end logging during a map swap. Squad 10.6.1 had already addressed a separate Nvidia Frame Generation setting problem on compatible cards in an earlier hotfix.

Other 10.6 issues remain under investigation, including the “0/0 queue,” broken or missing sensitivity settings, turret stabilization, map and terrain problems, and issues linked to moving the UI to its new back end. Offworld asks players to keep sharing findings through the Squad bug-report channel and Steam Support Discussions.
