Squad 10.6.1 Hotfix Targets a 45-Degree Tracked-Vehicle Bug

The client-and-server update also moves HAB ammo crates inside and fixes Nvidia frame generation, party UI, and other reported issues.

Offworld Industries’ October 7 notes identify Hotfix 3 as a client-and-server update for Squad 10.6, with version number 10.6.1. Its headline fix addresses a tracked-vehicle bug that could leave a repaired vehicle leaning about 45 degrees on its side, according to the October 7 release notes. After Hotfix 1, tracked-vehicle problems remained on Offworld’s list of unresolved issues, alongside map-collision concerns, as set out in Hotfix 1’s unresolved-issues status.

The hotfix also changes how HAB ammo crates behave: the crate now sits inside the HAB and is destroyed when the structure is destroyed, preventing players from rearming from a leftover crate. Other fixes cover a server crash, Nvidia frame generation, party-member counts, and several menu problems. Squad 10.6 had already received follow-up fixes, including Hotfix 2’s correction for revive-related desynchronization.

Offworld also adjusted observation-marker timing for players who are not Squad or Fireteam Leaders. Their markers now have an 8-second cooldown and a 5-second lifetime. Players who still encounter problems can add to existing threads or start a new report in the Squad Bug Reports Discord channel.
