Until Dawn 2 Will Launch in Southeast Asia on January 28 With Preorders Opening September 10

The PS5 horror follow-up will offer Standard and Digital Deluxe editions, with the Standard Edition starting at SGD 64 in the region.

Until Dawn 2 will launch on PS5 across Southeast Asia on January 28, 2027, giving players a new choice-driven horror story where keeping the cast alive may be easier said than done. Firesprite confirmed the release date in a PlayStation Blog announcement, with preorders scheduled to open on September 10, 2026.

Players will guide Dead True, a group of fake ghost-hunting YouTubers, alongside their chicken companion as they investigate the dangers of Akishima Island. The island looks like a beautiful tropical paradise, but its history is filled with secrets, supernatural threats, and more than enough reasons to question every decision.

Dead True heads for Akishima Island

The group first investigates Blackwood Sanitorium while filming an episode about tragic events from 12 years earlier. Izzy, played by Sarah Catherine Hook, is the team’s new intern, and her discovery quickly sends the production in a darker direction.

Later, at HorrorCon in Sydney, the crew meets Yoona, played by Gia Kim. Yoona survived a supernatural attack and carries a dark necrotic scar, along with a warning that leads Dead True toward a remote South Pacific island. The location has been abandoned since a luxury resort mysteriously shut down in the 1970s, but something much older is waiting there.

The trailer puts Owen, played by Dacre Montgomery, at one of the game’s early crossroads. He can follow a signal connected to his missing friend Nate, played by Spence Moore II, or cross a rickety bridge toward a strangely lively bar. Mina, played by Camila Senna, faces an even harsher choice when the network demands a ritual sacrifice for live television. Players can sacrifice the chicken or set it free and risk Mina’s own life instead.

Firesprite and AdHoc Studio are shaping the story

Firesprite is working with AdHoc Studio, the team behind Dispatch, on a narrative built around relationships, sharp dialogue, difficult decisions, and branching consequences. The eight members of Dead True are Owen, Mina, Nate, Reagan, Izzy, Luke, Josie, and Cameron.

Dr. Hill also returns, with Peter Stormare reprising the role. The new story keeps the series’ focus on survival and consequence while moving the action to a new island and a new group of potential victims.

Preorder bonuses and Digital Deluxe content

Preordering either the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition from September 10 will unlock three Dr. Hill-themed rewards.

  • Until Dawn classic outfit
  • Akishima Island holiday outfit
  • Dr. Hill collector’s bobbleheads to discover in-game

The Digital Deluxe Edition will also include the Y2K Neon Vibes Pack, which gives all 8 Dead True members colorful neon costumes. It will also add Diorama of Death, a collection of vignettes that revisit the game’s different fatal outcomes from new angles.

The Standard Edition will cost SGD 64, MYR 209, IDR 729,000, THB 1,690, PHP 3,023, or VND 1,249,000, depending on the market. The announced Digital Deluxe prices are SGD 77, MYR 249, IDR 879,000, and THB 1,990.
