Crimson Desert’s First DLC Gets a Charting the Unknown Reveal Trailer

Pearl Abyss previously targeted the add-on for release before the end of 2026 and described it as a new gameplay experience.

Crimson Desert has introduced its first DLC with a reveal trailer titled Charting the Unknown, giving Pearl Abyss’s open-world RPG its next named post-launch project.

Pearl Abyss had already said the add-on was being built around a new gameplay experience and targeted for release before the end of 2026. The new trailer puts a name to that project, although the available reveal material does not provide a more precise launch date.

The announcement follows a recent change in the game’s support plans. Resources are moving away from regular free updates and toward the first major paid DLC, a transition covered in Pearl Abyss’s slower support phase.

Charting the Unknown is separate from Crimson Desert Enhanced. The Enhanced package includes the 2.0 update and gathers broader improvements made since launch, while the newly named DLC represents the next major paid content project.

For now, the trailer gives players the first clear name attached to Crimson Desert’s planned DLC, with more information on its content still to come.
