CYBERLEEK Claims a Full GTA 6 Build Could Reach Millions of PCs

The anonymous group said it would release the game within days if Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive continued pursuing it.

CYBERLEEK, the anonymous group tied to a wave of alleged Grand Theft Auto VI leaks, claimed on August 22, 2026, that it has a complete build stored across drives and servers around the world. The group also threatened to release it to millions of PC users within days if Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive continued taking action against it.

According to CYBERLEEK, the build is no longer kept in one location. Copies are supposedly distributed across storage devices and hosted systems in different parts of the world, meaning the group claims there is no single server for Take-Two to seize.

The message described the release as a decision CYBERLEEK renews each morning. If the group were silenced or could no longer make that choice, it claimed the cancellation would end automatically and the game would begin spreading to personal computers within days.

Rockstar and Take-Two Are Already Pursuing the Leaks

The threat arrived as Take-Two pursued legal avenues to identify the people behind CYBERLEEK, including subpoenas directed at Microsoft and Discord. Rockstar Games has also used DMCA takedowns against leaked material, but those actions have not stopped new alleged footage from appearing.

A claimed seventh GTA VI leak also surfaced on August 22, adding another piece to a leak chain that has already included gameplay systems and open-world footage.

The response has reached beyond Rockstar and Take-Two. Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet said on August 21 that Xbox was working with Take-Two and Rockstar Games to protect creative work and intellectual property, although he did not name Grand Theft Auto VI. Xbox’s response to the alleged leaks came as the legal effort widened.

Some observers have interpreted the campaign as a marketing stunt, partly because the publicly discussed leaks have focused on basic gameplay and open-world activity instead of core story details. There is still no indication that CYBERLEEK is connected to Rockstar, and the group’s claimed relationship with a complete build remains unverified.

For now, the threat is a warning rather than a confirmed release plan. CYBERLEEK said its schedule has no end date and resets each morning, leaving Rockstar and Take-Two facing the possibility of a much larger leak if the group follows through.
