Valheim 1.0 will arrive September 9, and Iron Gate has another trailer planned for Gamescom

Iron Gate is fixing remaining bugs, directing players to its 1.0 FAQ, and preparing a new trailer for Gamescom in Cologne next week.

Valheim’s Early Access journey is nearing its end. In a new Steam update on August 20, Iron Gate said it is fixing remaining bugs and preparing version 1.0 for its September launch.

The release is scheduled for September 9, 2026, and Iron Gate previously confirmed that the full version will include crossplay across platforms. Our Valheim 1.0 coverage has the earlier launch details, while the new message focuses on the final stretch before release.

Players looking for answers should check the official Valheim 1.0 FAQ. Iron Gate recommends starting a fresh world for the best overall experience, though the FAQ also addresses questions from Vikings who want to keep an existing save and reach the Deep North quickly.

Gamescom will bring another Valheim trailer

Iron Gate will attend Gamescom in Cologne next week, with its booth located in Hall 10. The team also said a brand-new trailer will premiere during the event and hinted that some familiar faces will appear, though it did not identify them.

The studio also pointed players back to the previously released 1.0 announcement trailer:

The final Build of the Month features two creations

Build of the Month will wrap up as a regular feature alongside the end of Early Access. Iron Gate said it will still be interested in seeing what players build and plans to keep asking the community to share its creations through the studio’s social channels.

The final feature highlights The Bridge by myboyklaus and the Cathedral of the All-Father by Ayriv.
