War Thunder’s 16th Steam Spotlight Features Art, Aircraft Models, and a Hamster

Selected favorites were also chosen to receive the Steam Snail decal, found under Customization > Special > Snails > "Steam Snail."

War Thunder’s 16th Steam Community Spotlight brings together aircraft art, handmade models, in-game scenes, and a small furry guest. The roundup was published Oct. 20, 2026, in the game’s Steam announcement.

It follows the 15th Community Spotlight, which featured a Mi-24 sketch and a brick-built Leopard 2A7V among its player creations.

Aircraft art and models take center stage

Aircraft artwork anchors the new selection. Trahenwaffen contributed a pencil sketch of an F-16, while 流刃若火 drew a Bf 109 G-10. Felipe added another Bf 109 illustration, and LPDW recreated cover art from War Thunder’s Line of Contact update. An F/A-18 piece by “is Dimon” rounds out the drawings.

Physical builds include Lavochkin’s brick-built Corsair, ✮𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕤𝕖𝕣𝕜’s Yak-130, Br0nzky’s Su-27SM, Председатель’s Me 262 A1 “Green 1,” a Mirage F1C-200 by 近卫汉城柳京守第105师, and MichelangeloDaVinci’s Merkava. Several creators photographed their models beside the matching vehicle in War Thunder, a setup the community team recommends for scale-model submissions.

A hamster and handmade game keepsakes

CaptainJssl’s photo of Lieutenant Hammy puts a hamster in front of War Thunder’s aircraft lineup. Elsewhere, Cosmos made a keyring based on the game’s 500% booster, while Mom created a Gaijin Snail to join one Jones made earlier.

The team also picked favorites from the collection to receive the Steam Snail decal. Players can check Customization > Special > Snails > “Steam Snail” to see whether they have it.
