Xbox Game Pass has 10 games lined up from August 18 through September 1, covering everything from a fragile-egg platformer to an A Plague Tale prequel. Microsoft’s August 18 Xbox Wire update confirms the schedule, including day-one access for several upcoming releases.
New Xbox Game Pass arrivals
Egging On — August 18
Egging On is available today through the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld devices, and PC. The game is also now included with Game Pass Premium, while joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Players control a very fragile egg trying to escape a henhouse. Jumping, rolling, and climbing are all part of the journey through a farm shop, factory, and other dangerous areas.
Vapor World: Over the Mind — August 19
Vapor World: Over the Mind arrives as a Game Preview title on the cloud, console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It will be available on day one.
This narrative-driven souls-like platformer follows a boy trapped inside a twisted dream. Its combat centers on deflecting attacks as players descend through a broken mind in search of lost memories.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X — August 19
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X joins the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC lineup on August 19. It is now included with Game Pass Premium and will join Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
The roguelite action game brings stylish 2D combat to the BlazBlue universe. A free major content update featuring Platinum is already available on Xbox Series X|S.
Relooted — August 19
Relooted comes to the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 19 through Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass.
The Africanfuturist heist game asks players to reclaim African artifacts from western museums. Crew recruitment, escape planning, and a fast getaway all form part of each job.
Starsand Island — August 20
Starsand Island arrives on the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 20 for Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass.
The pastoral life sim offers a slower pace, with fishing, the Moonlit Forest, and plenty of time with capybaras, cats, and dogs. Players can settle into island life or spend their days discovering its quieter corners.
Aerial_Knight’s DropShot — August 25
Aerial_Knight’s DropShot launches on the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld devices, and PC on August 25. It will be included with Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass.
Smoke Wallace stars in this fast FPS racer, where racing rivals and fighting dragons go hand in hand. A radioactive dragon bite gave Smoke purple skin and the ability to fire bullets from his fingertips, which is certainly one way to make a race more complicated.
Blood Dungeon — August 25
Blood Dungeon arrives on the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 25 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The game comes from the creators of Nidhogg.
Its 2D platforming survival runs send players through treacherous dungeons, where parkour and monster kiting are essential. Gathering blood and powerups helps players survive, while collected bones can be spent in the Bone Shop on upgrades. Quests also unlock arenas, skins, and other rewards.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy — August 27
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will launch on the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld devices, and PC on August 27 through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It will also be available on day one.
As the third game in the series, this prequel takes place 15 years before A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem. It follows Sophia, who previously assisted the earlier protagonists, as her journey takes her to the Minotaur’s Island. Deadly trials, puzzles, dangerous paths, and a pursuing army stand between her and the truth. The creature hiding behind the myth may prove to be the greatest threat of all. Young Suns — August 31
Young Suns reaches its full 1.0 launch on the cloud, console, and PC on August 31. It will join Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass.
Set after a successful revolution on Jupiter, this narrative life sim lets players visit planetoids, derelict ruins, and converted stations alone or with up to three friends. The goal is to help Jupiter’s citizens rebuild their home.
Shelldiver — September 1
Shelldiver arrives on the cloud, console, and PC on September 1 for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass.
This incremental game follows a turtle who catches jellyfish and sells them at a small shop. Equipment upgrades, new biomes, deeper ocean areas, and the welfare of the local turtle population all await between naps.
Games marked as available on handheld devices are optimized for handheld play.
Wolfenstein 3D is already available
Wolfenstein 3D joined Game Pass on August 12 and is now playable through the cloud and on Xbox Series X|S, as well as on console and PC through the applicable Game Pass options.
William “B.J.” Blazkowicz must escape a Nazi prison and stop plans for a mutant army in the classic first-person shooter.
Game Pass benefits arriving in August and September
Once Human will offer Game Pass benefits on August 25 through Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, Essential, and PC Game Pass. The package includes a console-exclusive avatar, a monthly Meta Pass, daily treasure chests, cosmetic trials, discount coupons, and Battle Pass XP Boosts.
On September 1, World of Tanks Modern Armor will receive an XP Stock Bundle for Game Pass subscribers. It contains the Björn Larsen 3D Commander and x4 Commander XP Boosters (10).
Games leaving Game Pass
Five games will leave the library on August 31:
- Another Crab’s Treasure — Cloud, Console, and PC
- I Am Your Beast — Cloud, Console, and PC
- Neon Abyss — Cloud, Console, and PC
- One Lonely Outpost — Cloud, Console, and PC
- The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt- Remastered Edition — Cloud and Console
NBA 2K26 will remain available until September 6 on the cloud, console, and PC.
