Battlefield 6 will join Xbox Game Pass on October 13 alongside Valor Mortis and Deep Dish Dungeon. The next group of additions begins October 8, and more games follow through October 16, according to Xbox’s October Game Pass announcement.
Arrivals begin October 8
- Echo Weaver (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC) is available now for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one release. The metroidvania centers on a short time loop, with players using what they learn in each cycle to uncover a mystery. Provenance has a fixed layout rather than procedurally generated areas, and progression comes from learning new ways to use abilities already at the Weaver’s disposal. An alien glaive grants reality-bending powers, while clues can point players toward hidden shortcuts.
- Forever Ago (Cloud, Console, PC) also arrives for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This single-player road trip follows Alfred as he heads north after a personal tragedy, meeting people and using a camera to preserve memories along the way. It will be available day one.
- Neon Abyss 2 (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC) is coming to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. The roguelike action platformer sends players into The Abyss for another run after a defeat in New Athens.
Moonlight Kids developers estimated during an Akupara Games 10th Anniversary livestream that building Echo Weaver‘s knowledge-based time loop took roughly five times as much work as a game without that structure. The team initially thought a time loop might simplify save-system work, but its seamless world instead has to preserve state as areas stream in and out. The developers’ account of the challenge puts the extra work down to that constantly changing world state.
Three more games arrive October 13
- Battlefield 6 (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC) will be available with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Ultimate includes EA Play, whose members can claim the EA Play Deployment Pack and Season 5 EA Play Pack, along with recurring seasonal rewards. Ultimate subscribers also receive 10% off eligible EA digital purchases.
- Deep Dish Dungeon (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The survival exploration game combines a handcrafted dungeon with crafting and metroidvania elements, and supports solo play or online co-op.
- Valor Mortis (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, PC) will arrive day one for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The first-person action soulslike follows a former soldier in Napoleon’s army as he fights monsters with supernatural powers and uncovers a conspiracy.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will not join Game Pass in 2026, with Microsoft’s restructuring behind the decision, Insider Gaming reports.
Games marked for Handheld are optimized for handheld play.
Co-op and strategy games follow
- Bluey’s Happy Snaps arrives October 15 on Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This day-one photo adventure lets players explore familiar places with Bluey and Bingo, spot Australian wildlife, and play solo or with a second player.
- Chained Beasts (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC) is another day-one addition for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It’s a co-op gladiator roguelike for 1 to 4 players, with chained-together fighters taking on arena battles and bosses.
- Beyond These Stars arrives October 16 for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. The day-one city builder puts a settlement on the back of a Space Whale, with supply chains, residents, outposts, and alien encounters to manage.
What is available now and what leaves October 15
Shape of Dreams (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, PC) is available now through Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass, with its Starless Path anniversary update. Minecraft Dungeons II (Cloud, Console, Handheld, PC) and Gears of War: E-Day (Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, PC, Cloud) are also marked available now through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Minecraft Dungeons II sends players into the Sift to face new threats and customize their gear, while E-Day revisits the start of the Locust invasion.
An Asphalt Legends in-game benefit is available October 7 to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Essential, and PC Game Pass members. It includes a Ford GT MKII, 250 tokens, and 250,000 credits.
Nine games will leave Game Pass on October 15: A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview), Pacific Drive, Superball, and The Casting of Frank Stone. Nova Roma is listed for PC, while the other eight are listed for Cloud, Console, and PC.
