Take-Two’s message keeps the launch plan steady
Take-Two said the extended presentation would help grow “consumers’ passion and anticipation” for the highly anticipated sequel. The remarks keep the November release plan intact, with no delay announced.
During Take-Two’s latest financial call, CEO Strauss Zelnick told investors that the company has a high degree of confidence Rockstar Games can meet the November 19 date. Take-Two expects between $8 billion and $8.2 billion in net bookings during fiscal 2027, and that forecast reflects its confidence in Grand Theft Auto VI arriving as planned. The company also described fiscal 2027 as a milestone period led by Rockstar’s next Grand Theft Auto game.
The presentation will arrive on August 27, 2026. Netflix will carry it at 3 p.m. ET, followed by the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI website at 9 p.m. ET. The August 27 presentation schedule gives viewers two ways to watch, though the first showing requires a Netflix account. Pre-orders for the game are already open.
Rockstar has released two trailers for Grand Theft Auto VI so far, but the upcoming extended look is expected to offer the clearest presentation yet of what the game will bring before its November launch.
