GTA 6 Reveals 6 Radio Stations and On-Demand Podcasts
Both formats will be available from vehicles or on foot through smartphone-connected headphones and earbuds.

Rockstar Games has revealed six Grand Theft Auto VI radio stations, with the official Music page offering roughly two-minute previews and disclosing 18 licensed tracks. The samples span modern Latin music, country, African sounds, metal, pop, and Southern rap, but they are only a slice of Leonida’s radio dial. Rockstar’s music announcement also confirms classic rock and talk radio options beyond the six previewed stations.
Cocoteo FM pairs El Martillo and La Gata with modern Latin music, including bachata, merengue, dembow, and reggaeton. Its preview features Bad Bunny’s EoO, Axel Rulay featuring Farruko and El Alfa’s Si Es Trucho Es Trucho (Remix), and Romeo Santos and El Chaval de la Bachata’s Canalla.
Back Country Radio brings MW and Delta Dawne to Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and beyond. Its country selections include David Allan Coe’s Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior, Loretta Lynn’s Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind), and The Conversation by Hank Williams, Jr. and Waylon Jennings. Delta’s lover, Mud Dog Mike, will also check in from his Grassrivers airboat as the station’s roaming reporter and swamp meteorologist.
Burna and Palmsy host AfroBank FM, moving from African classics of the 20th century to amapiano, 3-step, and lesser-known tracks. Its preview includes Asake’s Joha, Gye Wani by Pat Thomas featuring Ebo Taylor, and Shay’sana by DJ Lag and Robot Boii featuring Kamo Mphela.
Slayer guitarist Kerry King and vocalist and bassist Tom Araya host The Chamber 106.6 as DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, playing classic metal from the ’80s onward. Its preview tracks are Black Sabbath’s I, Pantera’s I’m Broken, and Slayer’s Raining Blood. The Slayer track is a callback to the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, where it played on V-Rock. GTA V’s radio lineup included punk, hard rock, and alternative, but no dedicated metal station like The Chamber.
Rockstar has made room for heavier metal before. Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and Damned featured Liberty City Hardcore, hosted by Max Cavalera, with extreme-metal bands including Bathory, Cannibal Corpse, Kreator, Sepultura, and At the Gates. Flash FM brings pop to GTA VI’s lineup with Robyn and Alex, carrying on its identity as a Vice City radio institution. Its selections include Charli xcx’s Good Ones, MGMT’s Electric Feel, and Midnight Sun (Girls Trip) by Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress.
Trick and Trina host Dirty South Classics, built around regional rap and hip-hop. Its preview features David Banner featuring Lil’ Flip’s Like A Pimp, JT Money featuring Solé’s Who Dat, and Born N Raised by DJ Khaled featuring Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, and Pitbull.
Grand Theft Auto VI will also introduce the series’ first on-demand podcasts. Radio stations use continuous programming, while podcasts are available on demand, giving spoken content a different listening format from the talk radio options. Earlier GTA talk-radio stations ran continuously like music stations.
Players can listen to both podcasts and radio in vehicles or on foot using headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones.
Rockstar’s September 17 Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album announcement introduced 34 original tracks and said more information about the in-game radio and dynamic score was still to come. The station previews now fill in the radio side, while Rockstar says later updates will bring details on the dynamic score and additional album singles.
