The Outlast Trials Fixes Escalation Saves and Invasion 2.0 Exit Rules
The July 24 hotfix also addresses several crashes in Project Boneyard.

The Outlast Trials received a small Project Boneyard hotfix on July 24. The update fixes an Escalation Weekly save issue, corrects an Invasion 2.0 rule involving Imposters, and addresses several crashes.
Red Barrels detailed the changes in its official Steam announcement. The Escalation fix allows affected weekly savegames to resume properly, while the Invasion correction requires one Imposter to leave the Trial after downing or killing a Reagent.
The Outlast Trials: Project Boneyard Hotfix Patch Notes
This hotfix focuses on three issues: Escalation Weekly savegames that could not be resumed, incorrect Imposter behavior after taking down a Reagent, and crashes that could interrupt play.
- Fixed an issue where Escalation Weekly savegames were not resumable.
- Fixed an issue where Imposters did not have to exit the trial after downing or killing a Reagent. (one, not all of them)
- Fixed some crashes.
Red Barrels also asked players to share feedback about their Invasion 2.0 playthroughs and the earlier Season 6: Project Judas update through the linked surveys in the official announcement.
