SAND Update Delayed as Hologryph Tackles Exploits Before Trampler Capture Returns
The July 23 server-side update removed duplicated items, while the larger update is now planned for early next week.

Hologryph and tinyBuild Games postponed SAND: Raiders of Sophie‘s planned July 23 update after reports of an active exploit began spreading. In the July 23 Steam announcement, the team said the update will arrive in early next week instead.
The extra time will give the developers room to address more exploits and prepare the return of Trampler Capture. The feature was previously removed after exploit-related problems, and the team wants it back in a stable and secure state before reactivating it.
The upcoming update will also address a bug that could send a destroyed Trampler beneath the terrain. According to the developers, that issue was one reason some players were kicked for suspicious activity. Other planned fixes cover extraction softlocks, spectator customization, the user interface, anti-cheat systems, and several exploits.
Duplicated Items Removed From Exploit Users
A separate server-side update went live on July 23. It removed duplicated items from users who took advantage of an item duplication exploit. Hologryph and tinyBuild Games said they identified both the players involved and the duplicated items over the past few weeks.
The developers stated that this cleanup will not affect players who did not actively use the exploit. Players can report problems or share feedback through the game’s Steam Forums.
