SAND Temporarily Stops Players From Capturing Tramplers
The forced hotfix responds to recent cheater reports and will remain in place until stronger anti-cheat protections arrive.

SAND: Raiders of Sophie received a small hotfix on July 12, 2026, following a week of reports about cheating. The update makes one immediate change: players can no longer capture tramplers. The developers detailed the decision in the Steam announcement.
This is a forced temporary measure. Hologryph and tinyBuild Games said the restriction will stay in place while the team works on protection against no-clip and teleportation cheats.
The developers plan to release another update by the end of the week beginning July 13, with defenses aimed at the cheats they are seeing most often. They also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the temporary trampler restriction.
SAND: Raiders of Sophie Hotfix Patch Notes
The hotfix only affects trampler captures, but it is tied to a broader anti-cheat effort planned for the next update.
- Players are now unable to capture tramplers.
Official developer notes:
We have today launched a small update to address some of the cheater reports we have been seeing over the last week or so.
There is only one change in it – players are now unable to capture tramplers.
This is a forced, but temporary measure until we can implement reliable protection against no clip and teleportation.
By the end of next week we plan to release an update with protection against the most prevalent cheats and apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
